In 2020 and 2021, during the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic, there was an urgent need to minimize the duration from manufacturing and packaging to human administration of the Covid-19 vaccination. The vaccine is produced in China in bulk, and filled and bottled in Malaysia for mass distribution across peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak.

Amcon was responsible for the installation of Amcon’s signature Chilled Water System for the CanSino Vaccine Filling Line in Malaysia. In order to maintain the integrity of the vaccine and keeping up with stringent requirements, a precise and consistent temperature of 7 degrees celsius is required for the vaccine filling process.

The Amcon industrial chiller used was a single unit Air-Cooled Chiller Model AMC-160-AC-B-2.
