One of Amcon’s largest C&S and M&E projects was done for Proton Malaysia. This project which started in 2017 and was completed in 2019, was to build and construct Proton’s new sub-assembly line and body-in-white line for the Proton X70 and Proton X50 Body Shop.

Amcon was responsible for the planning, design, and building of Proton’s new automotive manufacturing plant according to stringent government regulations.

This includes the following:

• Building and structural work
• Process Cooling System (Chilled Water and Cooling Water) for Robotic Welding Line
• Compressed Air System
• Air-conditioning system for Production Floor
• Electrical wiring works for building services
• Electrical wiring and termination for production equipment and machinery.

The highlight for this project was the process cooling system used for Proton’s robotic welding system, on the assembly line. Amcon’s team of experts had the task to ensure that the temperature, water flow rate, as well as water pressure, is adequate for optimum performance of the robotic welding gun.
